Without you, I would not have these amazing tools and recourses for my kindergarten class. \r\n\r\nAt the end of each school day, my students are given choice time. They have worked hard all day, and I reward them with free time to play. All of the toys and manipulatives you donated through this project have supported students' collaboration, social skills, emotional skills, problem solving, and creativity. Often times, students work together to make really amazing building, towers, bridges, and designs. I love when they call me over to see their work because they are so proud of what they have accomplished together! The bins you donated through the project help to keep our classroom organized and the materials easily assessable. \r\n \r\nThis may sound odd to anyone who is not a kindergarten teacher, but most of all, I appreciate the lamination sheets you donated. I work hard to make lessons and activities that are hands on and meaningful. Printing digital activities and games and then laminating them has tremendously helped me to achieve this goal of keeping students engaged in the learning. \r\n\r\nI am so thankful for your support and generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1752296755096,"projectUrl":"project/building-brains-through-play/9310519/","projectTitle":"Building Brains Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ruiz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10011611_orig.jpg?crop=322,322,x263,y155&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746205299411","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10011611"},{"teacherId":7581448,"projectId":5617874,"letterContent":"I want to extend a heartfelt (and slightly belated!) thank you for supporting my dramatic play project back in 2021. Life in kindergarten moves fast—and thanks to your generosity, our classroom has been filled with so much imagination, joy, and meaningful play every single day since those materials arrived.\r\n\r\nThe Melissa & Doug sets—like the ice cream shop, sandwich shop, cookie set, vet clinic, and more—have brought our monthly dramatic play themes to life in the most magical way. Whether students are \"scooping\" ice cream, running a pet hospital, or building the perfect sandwich, they're developing language, cooperation, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a space that never feels like \"work.\"\r\n\r\nTo this day, our dramatic play area is hands-down the most loved and most visited part of the classroom. It's always full of laughter, teamwork, and those wonderful pretend scenarios only kindergartners can dream up.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a lasting impact.
