This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am constantly blown away by the creativity, dedication, and problem solving abilities of my students. They have created some of the most innovative mobile apps using MIT App Inventor for AP Computer Science Principles.
My students have worked hard to be accepted into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and AP Computer Science Principles course.
As a teacher, the best gift I can give them is inspiration, structure, and guidance. With your help, we can encourage our students to become independent learners and thinkers ready to chase their dreams as young adults.
My Project
Let's develop creativity together. Using this Asus Chromebook, students will have the freedom to pursue their passion, investigate computing innovations and work together with classmates to solve problems. They will complete the AP Computer Science Principles course. Our students will "learn how to creatively address real-world issues while using the same tools and processes that artists, writers, computer scientists, and engineers use to bring ideas to life." Help students build a socially useful, interactive app.
In this course, students will work with a partner to create a socially useful interactive app, that uses graphics and drawing, as well as other new concepts. They will also research a computing innovation that has had a considerable impact on the social, economic, or cultural areas of our lives.
