My students need 2 Google Chromebooks to enhance their research and typing skills! Most of all, technology will help them become college and career ready!
I have twenty-one wonderful second-grade students who come to school each day with a smile on their faces, eager to learn! However, my school is a Title I school in a high poverty area. 100% of students receive free lunch. It is my job as their teacher to take on many roles to ensure they receive a quality education and are cared for and loved on a daily basis.
My students love to read, solve hands-on math problems, and use technology!
Most of all, they love to be welcomed into an environment where they feel at home. I am blessed to have students who inspire me and only hope I do the same in return. My students are the apple of my eye!
My Project
Each year, my students come to me relying more and more on technology to grow their learning. At a young age, students are exposed to a variety of digital tools such as computers, iPads, cell phones, and video game consoles. I believe in reaching students using the tools that they are most comfortable with.
Using Chromebooks, my students will be able to research topics of interest, read and listen to stories online, practice math problems, and even strengthen their typing skills.
My students already thrive on using technology whenever they can. I know these Chromebooks will be just what they need to become college and career ready!
