Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is classified as Title I but our classroom is so much more than that label. We refuse to be bound by statistics and predispositions. We reject the idea that special education students should stay away. We encourage all skill levels, intellectual and emotional. We collaborate together, play together, and learn together. We are Title Acceptance, Title Curious, Title Welcome, and Title Family.

Our Family and Consumer Science students are bright, funny, and talented.

They are creative in their spirits and needs. Each student enters the classroom with an open heart and leaves with life skills to venture out into the world as confident and capable young women and men.

My Project

Chromebooks enhance student communication and collaboration opportunities in the classroom. My students need immediate access to technology devices within our classroom setting. The opportunity will help students sit in the driver seat of their own learning as they search, create, and share materials.

These small but mighty laptops will bolster students' computer skills as they use apps to create career portfolios, learn financial literacy, and participate in engaging, collaborative lessons.

Students will use the Google suite, including Docs, Slides, Files, and Google Classroom, as well as video conferencing to allow students to connect with others. The Chromebooks allow students to work together while completing group projects, reports, slide decks, and prepare for their college careers. Students will use flash drives to better assist in the transferring of documents within our campus.
