I have a fantastic and lively group of 24 third graders. My class is a fabulous group of students who are eager to learn, especially when technology is involved! They are curious, intelligent, and always up for a challenge. They are members of a high performing school where students and teachers love to push their learning and teaching to keep up with the newest and most effective methods.
My school is in a wonderful community.
The families are very involved in their children's education and are considered a valuable part of our school community.
My Project
Students will be using their Chromebooks constantly! A Chromebook is the fastest, simplest and securest way possible to access online material! We will use these Chromebooks to improve the ratio of students to computers in my classroom. With the addition of these three we will be so much closer to our goal of 1:1 devices. Students will use them in all academic areas to practice and assess learned skills. They will also be able to conduct research projects for both Writer's Workshop, Science, and Social Studies. Adding more Chromebooks to our classroom will allow more students the opportunity to actively engage in learning opportunities. This technology will also provide my students the ability to develop and strengthen keyboarding skills.

With the addition of these Chromebooks, more students will have access to research during those challenges!
The research, typing, and other skills that they will be practicing with their Chromebooks will be essential as they progress through their academic career and beyond. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children!
