My Students

I am a seventh and eighth grade math teacher. I have a broad range of students and I'm looking to make Common Core math curriculum fun and engaging for my students! Some of my students love math while others struggle with finding the joy of numbers and math. It is important to me to make math accessible to a range of learning levels and styles. Making math fun is a great way to make students a life long math learner!

My Project

My students will be using these Chromebooks for our math classes. One specific program we would like to use is Desmos. The Desmos website has fantastic ways of helping students explore different types of graphs, including but not exclusively: Linear Graphs, Quadratic Graphs, and what we need most, for exploring Exponential Graphs. It also provides many opportunities for collaborative work. There are so many websites that will help mathematics come alive for my students.

My students will be on the road to success with the help of technology!

We are hoping to eventually have at least a half class set of Chromebooks to use in our math classes.
