My Students
Our students are bilingual learners, and most of them have been at our school since kindergarten. As sixth graders, students have a lot of responsibility and are expected to be role models for their younger peers. They are cheerful, bright, and ready to learn individuals who crave a challenge. My students' value academics, but are also intrigued by different cultures and diversity within the community surrounding them.
In math class, my students are constantly craving new content!
They have become so confident in their math skills, and love to try new problems and activities that push their mathematical thinking!
My Project
My students use technology in my classroom on a regular basis. We use Google classroom, Khan Academy, Duo Lingo, NewsELA, and several other online platforms that allow them to develop their academic and 21st century skills at the same time! Although we already have several Chromebooks, we need 3 more Chromebooks to replace the ones that have been broken from regular wear and tear of everyday usage.
Chromebooks allow my students to prepare themselves for the future and develop college and career readiness for the 21st century.
It is imperative that they have technological fluency, and have access to the materials they need!
