My Students

3rd graders in my classroom are challenged to become critical thinkers, display a growth-mindset, and develop strong communication skills. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty district, my students face many challenges in their lives which can interfere with their learning at home as well as at school.

Students show great excitement when learning is presented to them in a non-traditional way.

I am focusing on preparing students using the 21st-Century skills they will need to be successful as they progress in their education.

My Project

Four Chromebooks will capture the attention of my third graders and help them to learn using important 21st-century skills.

Students will use Chromebooks to effectively communicate with others while developing their thinking and writing skills.

These Chromebooks will also be used to gain experience in coding as well as to access resources for our Project Lead the Way curriculum. Students will be thrilled to take on these new learning adventures while gaining life-long skills they will need in the future. Students will have the opportunity to use these Chromebooks to view e-books, annotate, and share learning with others with our reading curriculum this upcoming school year.
