My Students

I began my first year of teaching in October 2018. Since this new school year began, I have been getting to know my new class.

I am excited to spend the year learning and growing together.

I know that I am a better teacher now than I was last October. I have learned what works with first graders and I believe the key is technology.

My students are curious and creative. They love working with technology and they crave hands-on learning opportunities, especially when it comes to science. I want to continue to foster the love for technology that my students have and find better ways to engage and teach.

My Project

These Chromebooks will give my students more opportunities throughout our day to use technology.

I never see my students more engaged then when they are using technology.

My students would be able to use the chromebooks to learn in many different ways. In math, they could use them during centers to practice their math facts using Xtra Math. In reading, they could use them during centers to listen to reading using Storyline Online. In all subjects, we could use them to complete quizzes on Kahoot to help us review concepts for tests in a fun and engaging way. They could also use them to play educational games, use educational apps, and so much more!
