My students need 2 Chromebooks to actively engage in our class through Google classroom.

My class is full of fun, lively, and enthusiastic first graders! Like all kids this age, my students have a natural love of technology and anything that is dazzling and interactive on the screen! Teaching them in a fun and innovative way keeps me on my toes and in constant search of the next "cool" mechanism!
We have created a love for learning in this classroom, but most importantly we have a love for learning in many different ways!
Whether it is spending time listening or reading a good book or using computers to create something cool, we strive to illustrate our knowledge in an innovative way!
We would love for you to join us as a partner in our classroom and help us reach our goals for this school year!
Engaging, engaging, and did I mention ENGAGING lessons?...These are just a few of the examples of the variety of ways that we will use the new Chromebook in our classroom!
Implementing technology into the classroom, can transform the delivery of a lesson.
However, that is extremely hard to do with only 4 desktop computers
Google Classroom is an amazing platform that I am using in my room. It allows students to work together, communicate with me as well as their peers, and publish their work. Although the students really enjoy being able to work with different technology, we are not able to do it collaboratively. Getting a Chromebook into the hands of EACH of my students is my ultimate goal, but it starts with a few! These 2 Chromebooks are only the beginning.
Part of teaching students in this day and age is realizing that we must prepare them for the 21st-century workplace. Outside of the classroom, most students do not get to engage with technology other than a simple cell phone. The more my students can become versed on the many offerings of computers and website such as Google, the more practice they receive at becoming college and career ready!
