My Students

It is difficult to put into words how incredibly blessed I am to work with such an amazing group of students. My second graders are goal setters and high achievers. They encourage one another to not only reach, but surpass their goals. They collaborate on many projects and help one another solve problems. In addition to being great students academically, they are also respectful, helpful, and kind.

My students ask questions and seek information to help them answer those questions.

It is a frequent occurrence in my class to hear, "Can I do some research now?" I love to see how excited they are to learn and share their knowledge each day!

My Project

My students are motivated by many things, but they all LOVE to use technology when learning. That is why I'm requesting two Chromebooks. One way the Chromebooks will be used is for students to participate in activities on Kahoot. These quizzes and activities all me to immediately determine whether they understand topics or if they need additional instruction.

Another benefit of adding these Chromebooks to our classroom is that it will give more children the opportunity to engage in the research process.

This is a skill that they will need throughout their lives. Since most information is now accessed online, it is essential that they learn how to locate necessary facts using safe websites.
