This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my first year teaching at my school and I am joining the staff and my students in March in the middle of the school year. My students have gone through a lot of change throughout the year with a teacher, a long-term sub, and now myself entering the room as a new teacher mid-year.

I have such a great group of students who are so excited to learn, that I would love to transform their access to learning through technology.

I want to make sure I am tapping in to my students' excitement each day by providing them with engaging, challenging lessons that will prepare them for the future ahead.

My Project

These Chromebook laptops will allow my students to apply their learning in a fun and engaging way. Students will be able to read or listen to electronic books to help develop oral reading fluency. They will be able to conduct research about topics of high interest to children, such as dinosaurs, volcanoes, and space. Using these Chromebooks, students can practice and extend their math skills with online activities and applications during our math stations. Students can strengthen their written communication skills through learning forums and discussions. The possibilities are endless when you combine curious students and top of the line technology!
