My Students

The economic backgrounds of my students are very diverse. Many struggle with inconsistent living situations. Many of my students struggle with understanding fairness and equity. We live in an isolated rural area of about 5000. The closest metropolis is about 240 miles away.

We are working hard to become the school of choice for families.

We have a four-day school week to allow for traveling needs of families and school athletics. Our district staff invests in teachers and students by providing ongoing professional development to allow us to teach with current best practices.

My Project

Our district is encouraging students to be more digitally conscience. Our students live in a fast-paced world with changing technology. They need opportunities to become comfortable using the Chromebooks for searching, typing, researching, and collaborating .Having a set of Chromebooks right in the classroom will improve their digital literacy.

Your generous donation will help close the technology gap and prepare students for the future.

Collaboration is one of most important 21st Century skills that we can teach our young students. The Chromebooks will allow students to collaborate face to face or on the computer while working on projects. Students will collaborate with one another as well as reach out to family and the community through classroom blogs. There are so many great opportunities to learn through Chromebooks from Google Docs to Google Classroom to Virtual Field Trips.

Please consider helping our students prepare for the future by increasing their technological literacy right in their own classroom.
