My Project

Kindergarteners are learning a variety of skills during their first year of school. It is amazing how much they learn and how they change throughout the year. Not only are they learning academic skills, they are learning how to make their own choices and work with others.

I started flexible seating so my students could choose a seat that works best for them.

It is often difficult for young students to sit still for a just a few minutes. If this is a problem, they can choose a stability ball or a wobble stool. I would also like to give my students stools that are a safe size. The stools that I have chosen are a great size for kindergarteners. Fidget bands would also be a great addition to my flexible seating choices to give my students that have extra energy a way to move during lessons without disrupting the class. I hope with this project that I can supply more choices to help my students to become responsible and comfortable learners.
