This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students safety is our priority. By equipping our classrooms with LifeVacs Anti-choking devices, we will enhance the chance of surviving an obstructive airway incident should it occur at school.

When someone is choking, every second counts.

Though I am trained to utilize the Heimlich maneuver, I cannot be everywhere, certainly not instantly.

Having a LifeVac device readily available to teachers, could make the difference between life and death.

Since the size of a young child's windpipe is approximately the size of a drinking straw in diameter, children under age 5 are at greatest risk for choking.

This project aims to protect all students and staff from a choking event with special emphasis on the most at risk students.

Funding for this project will stock all PK and Kindergarten classrooms with a LifeVac, in addition to campus common areas .
