Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are wonderful thinkers, artists, and activists. They come to school every day ready and willing to learn. My classroom dynamic this year has been 50% English language learners. For most of my students, this was their first experience in a school environment.

My students are very responsible and eager to learn.

They understand that in order to make a difference in the world, they need to learn as much as they can. Half of my students haven't been to preschool before this school year and it has a process with learning social skills since a lot of them were at home and hadn't practiced socializing.

In Kindergarten, choice time has been a valuable part of my day, with my students practicing the social skills they need. This year has been a learning curve and next year I would like to set up my students with more success with choice time. These materials in choice time are more important than ever. These funds will go towards a playdough cutter, puzzles, Lincoln logs and more! This will help each and every student grow.
