My pre-K students live in a very low-income area in Dallas, Texas. In our school, our goal is to prepare them with the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful. My students' age range is from early four to early five years-old. They are eager to learn new things and engage in fun and exciting learning activities. They like to learn by playing games, creating, and teaching each other and me.
My students make me smile every day and give me the inspiration to do my best in the classroom.
My Project
My students need new books because the ones we have are very old, some of the pages tear or missing. My students don't have hardly any opportunity to visit the city library due to transportation, our school is located in a low socioeconomic area. Currently I visit the city library a bring books to the class which is sometime hard to do due to an eye condition that do not allow me to drive.
I want my students to experience how it feel to have a good book in their hand and how great it is when you can share it with friends.
Reading for preschoolers is important because it help them develop thinking skills and to use their imagination. Also reading help with language acquisition and literacy skills. With your donation, you will help me open the window to a great world of leaning.
