Giving students the autonomy to choose where and how they learn has drastically improved their focus and stamina. During a recent math workshop, a student who typically has a hard time staying in a traditional chair was able to quietly channel their physical energy on a wobble stool, completing their entire complex word problem assignment without a single break. It was incredible to see how a simple change in their physical space allowed their mind to fully engage with the rigorous material.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to utilize these flexible spaces for our upcoming collaborative science project. Students will be partnering up to research different ecosystems, using the lap desks and floor seating to create comfortable, self-managed workspaces around the room as they draft their presentations.
