This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I currently have a small calming corner in the art room. Bad days happen to the best of us, even in the whirlwind of creativity! This corner has become an essential spot for students to use when they just need a few minutes to center and refocus.

Keep calm and make art!

I would like to make the space more comfortable and inviting for students and the chairs and carpet will allow students other seating options besides sitting at the table. They will see that it is a safe comfortable place, be able to use it, and rejoin the amazing fun and learning in the art room!
