This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach TK. In most TK classrooms like mine, we have tables and chairs that are one-size-fits-all across the grades. The tables are large and bulky, and the chairs are not the appropriate size for preschool age children.

My goal is to create a classroom where children will feel comfortable and develop their fine and gross motor skills.

Young children need small furniture and low tables to be able to use their fine motor skills and learn how to adjust their posture and grip. These adjustable tables are a perfect size for small group instruction and are designed to be conducive to a preschooler's needs at multiple developmental stages.
