My student council members would like to start a part-time coffee shop at our school to help raise money towards school improvement projects. The coffee shop will be run completely by the students with adult supervision.
Our school is extremely low-income, and all of our students receive free lunch and breakfast, but this doesn't stop them from showing up to class ready to come up with new ideas towards school improvement.
Some of my kids come from difficult living situations, so I desire to give them the best while they are at school. I want to offer them a positive learning environment because they are simply the best kids, and they deserve nothing but the best.
My Project
The supplies being asked for will be used in a school-based coffee business where the students take coffee orders, fill orders, and deliver orders. They will be responsible for inventory, money management, and social interactions with peers and adults. The shop will be open 2 to 3 days per week in the mornings to allow other students to grab a quick drink before heading to class.
The startup supplies are crucial to make this project a success.
The Chieftain Coffee Co will be managed completely by the student council members with adult supervision. This project will show the students that they can do whatever they put their minds to. I also want it to show them that their hard work does pay off.
Students want to use the funds raised through the Coffee Shop towards school improvements as our school needs a few upgrades!
