My students need classroom supplies, markers, a laminating machine and laminating pouches, beanbags, and an easy way to store their learning materials.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a diverse low-income, high-poverty school district, my students face daily struggles and challenges every day both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face, my classroom is created as a safe haven for my students to feel loved, included, and safe by me and their peers. I try to provide my students with creative, meaningful, and hands-on social and academic experiences that I know they would not get to experience at home.
Many of my students come from impoverishment, single-family homes.
Most of my students receive free breakfast and lunch based on their socioeconomic status. I also have many students that are new to the country that are English Language learners. Each day, I work to ensure that despite their hardships at home; my students are able to work to their fullest potential and that they are receiving the best educational experiences with me so they can grow, thrive, achieve, and be the best little people they can be.
My Project
My students learn best on hand on learning.These materials would allow them to use their hands and build their phonics, math, and reading skills. My students love center time. It's one of their favorite activities to do during the day. During center time, my students have the opportunity to work in small group on a variety of learning activities. Some of their favorites include writing words, sentences, read, write sight word center, and math center.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In others words, I know exactly where everything will go.
We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The organizational large baskets will be place on the shelves and will be used to organize their books and learning center. The markers will be used during learning center times to create words and sentences. The beanbags and the scoop rocker chairs will be offered to students, so they may work where they are comfortable. The laminator machine and laminating pouches will be used to laminate their literacy and math center. Your generous donation to this project will help to improve my students's literacy skills by building stronger readers and writers. We will use this materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long-learners. I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks.
