My Project

For the last two years, we have incubated, hatched, and housed chicks in our classroom. This is by far the most rewarding experience for my students and I would love to provide more materials, books, and manipulatives to help support their learning.

Seeing each chick make its way out of its shell enthralls my students and brings them joy, but the lessons that we learn as a class along the way are invaluable.

Some years we have eggs, or chicks, that don't make it and we learn more about life. The vocabulary that my students soak up is incredible and I would love to have more materials in the classroom to build with!

I have also asked for some items to help maintain learning in the classroom: storage bins for materials, velcro and lamination sheets to make vocabulary and games, and a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers so I can continue to purchase materials that are already made for young learners!
