Student musicians at our school are recognized as high achievers and are committed to their academic learning. Through their creativity, curiosity, and musical exploration, they are respected as leaders and role models by their peers and teachers alike.
Our young musicians teach me every day about patience, compassion, and empathy as they develop their own identities and shape their own futures.
My challenge is to always find the most compelling ways to guide, nurture, and support my students in all of their endeavors, incorporating music as a powerful connector between their lives and the ever-changing world.
My Project
We are excited to welcome our woodwind musicians to the new school year, in particular those who are starting a new opportunity in learning to play the clarinet or the saxophone. To see the eager expressions on our young students' faces as they begin their introductory lessons is priceless and tremendously rewarding.
In order to help provide access to a successful experience for our young woodwind musicians, it is vital that they be supported with high quality mouthpieces, reeds, and ligatures.
Building confidence in novice musicians requires having first-rate supplies and accessories. The Yamaha 4C mouthpiece has been long-revered as a standard of excellence for beginner and professional clarinetists alike. Vandoren reeds are one of the most widely-used in the the world; they are durable and help young players develop a beautiful tone quality. Bonade ligatures allow young students to have greater dynamic range by creating better response and control with a freer vibration of the reed.
With access to these materials, our young clarinetists and saxophonists will be prepared for a rewarding music-making experience that will hopefully grow deeper and more fulfilling over time!
