My Project

We have an opportunity at our school to spend quality time every other week developing relationships and enhancing learning. I want to start a chess/crochet/sewing club.

These materials will allow me to teach kids to play chess, how to crochet, and how to sew (basic skills like sewing buttons and fixing holes).

It is my hope that kids will choose to come to my room to develop these skills. Chess is a wonderful critical-thinking game. Learning to crochet will help develop skills to create gifts to give (and it is a great fidget). Sewing is a lifelong skill most students should learn and perhaps aren't.
