Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This class is filled with 22 young students ready to discover what "school" really is. All my students are between the ages of 4 and 5. My students come from a very deserving and needy background. Each student has come in ready to learn new and exciting things that they have never experienced before.
Most of my students never attended any kind of structured setting so coming to Pre-K can be a scary thing at times which is why it is my goal to make school a fun and exciting journey!
Many times our school does not have the funds to provide items we need to make this goal achievable, but our students find any means to go above and beyond to reach their own goals.
My Project
In preschool one of the ways to make an impact is by using visuals! They need to see it to learn it. Many times we make charts together as a group and they work so well to get students engaged and learning but we have no place to put them when we are done! My wall space is slim to none with all our required materials that need to be up.
These pocket charts are just what my students need to put their knowledge to use and visualize their own work!!
Not only will we have a place to hang our charts but we can move them around the room to different areas when students need them!
