This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the heart of Philadelphia, I have the privilege of guiding 47 resilient and bright fifth-grade students on a journey of discovery. Their enthusiasm for learning is a major source of inspiration to me. However, as a class, we've come face-to-face with a pressing issue: our current setup of three power strips, which house our now-tangled charging wires, woven through various Wawa milk crates that hold our Chromebooks, is a system on the brink of collapse.

This limitation means we can't ensure all devices are charged daily, hindering the seamless integration of technology into our lessons.

To overcome this hurdle, I'm excited to introduce a game-changing solution - a Locking Steel Cart capable of charging and securing 32 Chromebooks. This cutting-edge resource will not only alleviate our current charging struggles but will also serve as a dynamic hub for collaboration and exploration.

Beyond the curriculum, it's the resilience, compassion, and enthusiasm of my students that set them apart. In our classroom, we celebrate diversity, embrace challenges, and champion the idea that every voice matters. Together, we're not just learning; we're building a community of lifelong learners ready to shape the future.
