My Project

Oculus Quests are innovative digital tools that my students can use to immerse themselves in the text. This has provided my students to make real-life connections to the content presented and will take learning to another level.

My students have experienced so many life-like scenarios through the use of our classroom Oculus Quests.

We have traveled to space, The Anne Frank house, and many places around the world through National Geographic.

The Oculus has allowed my 4th graders a chance to escape and enter a world of reality with so many learning possibilities, which is also great for social-emotional & mindfulness activities. When students are able to see the things they are learning, it helps them have a deeper understanding.

The Oculus has also become a great incentive to follow school rules and work hard. We use PBIS at our school where kids can earn tickets for positive behavior. Students can earn Oculus time as a reward using those tickets.

7-8 students are usually able to use the Oculus every day. The battery dies quickly, and we have to re-adjust the headset for each new user. The adjustable battery pack headset will help allow more kids to experience the VR set daily. The charging station will make the charging process safer and easier. Right now we only have the box that it came in, so it is hard to get out for each use.
