This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a blend of first and second graders. They attend an arts magnet school that emphasizes the importance of education through core subjects as well as being able to learn through both visual and performing arts. This program allows my students to show their strengths and personalities in multiple ways.

I love that my students are able to express themselves through a favorite art project and/or individual and classroom performance.

Although they all come from a variety of backgrounds the art presence at our school seems to level the playing field.

My Project

My students use their iPads daily for learning. This tablet charging station will allow me and my students to keep the iPads in a safe location, as well as, organized and plugged in so that they are charged and ready to go for learning.

The iPads are an essential tool in my combination classroom.

My classroom does not have enough plugs to allow me to keep all my iPads charged for my students. I need them to be ready to go daily. This unit will help teach my students how to properly take care of classroom technology. With these units, students will be responsible for picking up and putting away their technology, as well as making sure that it is plugged in and ready for the next student.
