My Students
My class is a sweet, energetic group of first graders. They come from a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds. We have five different languages spoken in my room. We are a Title I school with 60% of our students receiving free or reduced price l lunch. One of my favorite things about this school is how we celebrate our diversity.
This class thrives when they get to explore new material and share their ideas with one another.
Their curiosity is refreshing.
My Project
We were fortunate to be given new Chromebooks to use in our classroom. The students use them on a daily basis. They solve math problems on Prodigy.com. They do research on websites I have approved. They publish stories that they have written. My students even listen and read books on Raz-kids.com.
In this technologically advanced time, it is important that even first graders learn how to take care of electronics.
I would like to get this storage system so that the Chromebooks are more easily accessible. This charging rack stores the cords inside and will help solve our tangled mess. Organizing our Chromebook station will help protect the materials we have.
