Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten students speak six languages and represent six countries! My students are curious, energetic, and they love learning.

My students spend their day learning in both English and Spanish.

We are a low income, dual language community school, where everyone knows each other. They have built such a close community and really help one another grow as friends and learners. They do not always have all of the resources they need at home, but they care so much about learning.

My Project

We are lucky to have six iPads in our classroom that we use during literacy and math centers.

We need a charging center to keep our materials organized and headphones to listen to our iPads!

Every day, we are learning to use technology in an appropriate way as we listen to stories and practice other literacy skills as we learn in English and Spanish! We also play games in math that help us to practice the different standards we are learning.

Using technology motivates kids in a different way as well as helps them get ready for state testing they will be doing on tablets! It would help us to have a place to organize our technology to help us be more successful!
