Throughout the school year, many PK-6 students were able to consistently access snacks and personal hygiene items, which helps immensely in keeping them happy and regulated during the school day. A majority of students who attend my school live in poverty and don't have access to consistent snacks, food, or personal hygiene items, or healthy items at home. Having this resource at school ensures their most basic needs are met, and in turn makes the school feel like a safe and supportive space for them. \r\n\r\nHygiene for students can be a tricky subject to discuss, especially when they struggle to maintain personal hygiene whether it's due to lack of access to hygiene items or new hygiene issues that are developing with the start of puberty. I utilized the snacks and hygiene items to create a \"Basic Needs Closet\" containing the items provided from this project where students know they are able to access these items at any time. This helps them to see and know what resources and supplies I have available to them, and makes getting the items they need less awkward since they are already there and open to everyone! \r\n\r\nOverall, the funding of this project ensured the basic needs of many students were met throughout this school year, and that's the best thing I could ever ask for when working with a large group of highly impacted students and families. Your support means so much to me, and if the families could thank you, I'm sure they would share the same gratitude. Thank you again for your kindness and support with this important project.","fullyFundedDate":1759892488137,"projectUrl":"project/keep-my-students-healthy-clean-and-fed/9555312/","projectTitle":"Keep My Students Healthy, Clean, and Fed!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moiso","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10161438_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759930760824","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10161438"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_88449","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":197,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":79,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"15.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":65.1,"schoolId":88449,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Reedville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Reedville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oregon/hillsboro-school-district-1j/reedville-elementary-school/88449"}
