My Project

Microphones and stands play a crucial role in enhancing the overall quality of our 1st grade musical play performance of "Character Matters 3 -Empathy"by ensuring that the students' voices are clear and easily audible to the audience. Our students have worked so hard to learn their lines and all of the songs. Unfortunately, over the last 19 years our microphones and stands have broken.

Our goal for this project, a musical on empathy, is to raise my students' awareness of empathy and have them make connections to their own lives through fairy tale characters.

By emphasizing the importance of empathy in their interactions and relationships, my students will learn valuable skills that will not only benefit them academically but also contribute to their overall well-being and success in the future.

Our students are enthusiastic creative learners. Each with unique interests and ways of learning: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. We know dramatic play reinforces content in a playful and imaginative way. Knowing my students love songs as a way to learn We chose this musical play on empathy to increase social emotional skills and improve peer relations and foster critical and creative thinking.
