Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school, along with our entire school district, qualifies as Title I. Our school is located directly off of a major highway in California. We take pride in and see our school as a constant resource in the local community.

With digital learning and many materials online, my students are learning, with the rest of the world, how to change, adapt, and grow in order to become successful.

My students come to school in hopes of having a safe, engaging, and collaborative classroom. School today can have many challenges. We hope to challenge students to overcome and prove that they, too, deserve opportunities for growth. With your help, we can make sure they have the materials for success, health, and happiness.

My Project

This project is requesting a diverse selection of books that always seem to catch my reader's attention.

With such a wide range of topics, authors, and artists, I hope this project will engage my students as they read more and more -- building their vocabularies, confidence, and open doors to those strange new worlds.

Classroom favorites include the Geronimo Stilton series, the Disney Never Girls Collection, books about insects, Chronicles of Narnia, Magic Tree House series, Flat Stanley, even the old school Goosebumps books are starting to become popular again! We would appreciate any and all donations to helping my students find that one topic, that one one series, or that one author who could help encourage these kids pursue a love of reading. Thank you!
