My Students
My students are loving and energetic! My kiddos are hands-on learners. They work hard and desire to learn; they are very special! They all come from different backgrounds, and I love experiencing how a classroom can unite a group of kids.
I love how my students come to school every day with a smile on their face, even though outside of my classroom, they encounter hardship.
I strive to create a positive learning environment for all my students. My aim is to make my students feel safe and at home in my classroom.
My Project
My students need engaging books to read and listen to every day in the classroom. These books will help ignite a love for reading within my students.
Reading aloud to first graders helps students increase their reading level, because it is modeling fluent reading and encouraging comprehension.
I will be reading the chapter books (Junie B. Jones, Flat Stanley, and Magic Tree House) aloud. But I know that once my students begin to love reading even more, they will want to read these books for themselves! After I have read a book to my students, the books will be available in our classroom library, along with the NEUMA Table Lamps for more reading light. I will use the story starters to enhance my students reading and writing skills. And then I will use the laminating pouches to perserve my students' amazing work! My students will be using the Pouch Pencil to organize bookmarks and other reading resources!
