My students enjoy learning new math concepts everyday and enjoy using math manipulatives! For the students that do not show as much enthusiasm for math, I want to engage them through these new manipulatives! Math manipulatives can increase a student's understanding of an abstract math concept by using real items the students can relate to. All these items are going to make a wonderful addition to my classroom! The clocks will be used to teach students time. The classroom set of white boards will be incorporated in all math lessons; they will love these! The counters will assist with number sense in whole group and small group centers. And the journals will be used to create math and reading stories.
