Changing Trees in Our Environment

Help me give my students a variety of ways to learn about trees in our environment through interactive play. Using blocks, felt boards, sensory tubes and puzzles the children will learn how trees change throughout the different seasons.

My Project

Teaching children about their environment is the bases of the C4L preschool curriculum taught at my school. Observing how trees change throughout the different seasons is a year-long process in my classroom.

By providing the children with hands on manipulatives such as blocks, felt boards, sensory tubes and puzzles I will be able to provide learning opportunities within the classroom that mimic environmental changes happening outside of the classroom.

Observing how the trees are changing outside, and role playing those changes with the toys provided will help children to internalize the changes taking place in their environment. Thus teaching them how seasons and trees are always changing.
