Changing Middle School Learning One Seat at a Time
My students need flexible seating such as bean bag chairs for my classroom.
My students have the desire and ability to learn in a variety of ways and levels. Each of my students have his or her own unique learning style, as well as personality.
My classroom is the one place that my students can and should feel safe and comfortable.
This is a priority of mine, as a teacher, as well as a parent. Each of my students has his or her own unique personality and I love to get to know each of them.
My middle school students seem to struggle with anything and everything that our society can throw at them. One of the daily struggles that I see with my students is their ability to concentrate and really own their learning.
If I can transform my classroom from the traditional desks to providing a comfortable learning environment that the students can own and take pride in, the student will have the opportunity to enjoy school and the learning process.
If the students are comfortable, then they can focus better and the depth of learning will began to become deeper and with more meaning. With flexible seating, the bean bag type chairs, couch, futon, etc. type of seating can provide this type of learning environment.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
