This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my math class, my students have many opportunities to work with partners on math problems and games. This allows for them to practice their math skills not only through hands-on experience but also through student discourse. Our math curriculum offers a favorable combination of hands-on group work as well as independent learning time. The students would benefit from these flexible seating items by making the learning environment more comfortable. During math rotations, many students are on the floor playing learning games and these materials will offer a more comfortable seating for them.

The stools around my small group table have lost all cushioning to them.

The new stools will offer more sturdy and comfortable seating.
