My students need incentives to promote the program, bring in new members, strive to meet new initiatives. These laptops and iPad would help them to go forward in their education while promoting this program.
The students in this group are committed to making a difference in the school culture and the community. Students have come together to show their dedication by working together as a cohesive group transcending age and cultural differences. The highlight of last year was our Relay for Life. Over 150 students came together to raise over $6,000 to fight cancer. This was an amazing accomplishment for a group of high school students. We are hoping to build and continue the good work.
My Project
This program has been in practice for a couple of years. We are a club that promotes kindness through example. This program started with Rachel Scott who was the first person killed at Columbine High. Her legacy was to start a chain reaction of kindness and our goal is just that. The group is composed of all four years of high school students. We run events and activities that spread our purpose through the school and community. In the community, we have run a free car wash and collected items for the shelter. We have run drives for hurricane victims, children's hospitals, books for grammar schools and a Relay for Life to raise funds to fight cancer.
We are looking to expand our membership; these items will be used to promote involvement and commitment.
We want to encourage all students to join us in this year's Relay for Life and will use these as a promotional tool. The two HP laptops and the Apple iPad would be perfect tools for my students to use in the classroom. As students join our Relay for Life team they will be encouraged to raise money to fight cancer. If they get 3 people to donate to their Relay for Life funds they will receive a raffle ticket to be in a drawing to win one of these products. If they get 5 people to donate they will receive 3 raffle tickets and if they get 10 donations they will have 5 raffle tickets for a chance to win. They will then be able to use them in their future educational practices. The laptops and iPad will be awarded to students who will be able to utilize them in their classrooms or take them off to college.
