Challenging My Students with New Books and Hands on Fun!

Help me give my students all the hands on materials possible to explore and learn with their peers. Children need the opportunity to learn through touch and play but also to think critically to solve.

My Students

The students we have in our kindergarten classes are full of love, passion for learning and are so creative. They are so very full of life and are eager to ask many questions, explore and learn in any way possible.

Our school holds of 300 children who come from a wide variety of home lives.

Some people may think that since our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch that we may be struggling or that the family or children are, but together we fight this stigma and work to improve and grow each child to their fullest potential.

This is so easily done because no matter what my kindergartens want to come to school each day to share in the rigourous work we do everyday. These sweet students want to learn so many things even if we don't always have all the resources.

My Project

Learning through exploration is extremely important for our children. My students have limited hands on materials that build thinking and collaboration with the peers so a project like this will bring so many opportunities for them. We also do not have classroom sets of grade level guided reading books/audio books.

All kids are reading at different levels and in small group instruction I will be in need of an assortment of beginner readers and above with these collections of books I can offer my students a variety of text and learning chances.

I know my students will really enjoy having these opportunities and resources in our classroom.
