Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is a vibrant space filled with active, curious students who engage with their learning in various ways. The dynamic nature of my students often makes it challenging for them to sit still in their conventional desk chairs, which are rigid and lack any movement. Many of them find it difficult to concentrate and frequently wiggle or shift in their seats; some even lose their balance and fall out of their chairs during lessons.

To create a more conducive learning environment that caters to their needs, I am looking to incorporate a selection of swivel and rolling chairs.

These alternative seating options would not only provide the necessary comfort and mobility for my students but also empower them to direct their focus and energy productively, promoting a sense of engagement and participation throughout their learning experience.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
