My students need active kids chairs to help with workstations and during station time and replacement ball exercise balls to replace the balls that were popped and not able to be fixed.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a low income public school in Massachusetts. Our students come from all different types of households. Some students are homeless, doubled up with other families, and have been through traumas in their lives. Each class has students on IEPs. All of the students try as hard as they can.
It's rare to see to a male Kindergarten teacher, but I love being able to teach these students and to give them a love of learning from day one of their schooling, along with my wife who teaches first grade.
We are both on the front lines of Early Childhood Education. I am also a football official and see the need for movement while staying focused.
My Project
Kindergartners today are expected to be little learners and to sit and attend to work. They need two amazing wobble chairs to help them be able to move without being a distraction, or taking away their focus. These flexible seats will allow the children to feel free, and not feel like they have to sit still like statues. The two we have in our class now are utilized all day. The wobble chairs will be extremely beneficial to my students who have sensory issues, and need to be able to move, and need to have their muscles either strengthened, or need to have muscles pressure. I am also requesting two replacement balls for our ball chairs and a pencil sharpener.
My young students want to learn but need a chance to move around and be 5 and 6 year olds.
They work so hard and need some help with their active bodies and their focus.
