My Project

One of my students favorite things to do in art class is working with clay. Our school just got a kiln that has the ability to high fire and with that comes the possibility of working with high fire glazes. There are countless glazing techniques that can be used to create beautiful works of art. Up until this year, our junior high students were limited to using low fire glazes that are commonly used at the elementary level. Using high fire glazes will enrich the art experience and their understanding of science and art.

The art cart will help with organization and time management in the classroom as it will allow supplies to be split and moved around the room instead of a single location which can cause a traffic jam at the storage cabinet.
