My Project

My CEO Classroom is built on the belief that students should not just learn business concepts; they should experience them. Receiving funding for our CEO Classroom Store directly aligns with my vision of creating a hands-on Business and Entrepreneurship classroom where my 9th- and 10th-grade Junior CEOs practice financial literacy, decision-making, responsibility, and ownership in ways that feel relevant to their lives. Students earn ClassDojo points, which we call **CEO Capital, through positive behaviors such as participation, preparedness, completing assignments, collaboration, leadership, and demonstrating our schoolwide PBIS expectations. Funding will allow me to stock our classroom store with snacks and other student incentives that give their CEO Capital real value.

The social impact goes beyond students receiving a snack.

The store becomes a living financial literacy lab. My Junior CEOs must decide whether they want to spend their CEO Capital immediately, save for something they value more, or invest in opportunities that may provide a greater benefit later. Those everyday decisions create natural conversations about budgeting, delayed gratification, opportunity cost, saving, spending, investing, and responsible financial decision-making. At the same time, the system reinforces positive behavior through our school's PBIS framework and gives students another reason to take ownership of their choices.

My classroom resources are funded through a combination of available school resources, my personal classroom investment, DonorsChoose projects, and the generosity of community supporters who believe students deserve meaningful learning experiences. This funding would allow me to expand the CEO Classroom Store without placing the financial responsibility solely on me or limiting opportunities because of available classroom funds. You are not simply funding snacks. You are helping me create a miniature economy where students can practice today the financial decisions they will be expected to make tomorrow. That is financial literacy they can see, touch, experience.
