My Project

In Kindergarten, I've noticed that students come into school with a variety of skill levels. Some students are easily able to pinch and grip a pencil, while others find it incredibly difficult. For that reason, it's important to regularly practice fine motor skills throughout the school year. Even making play doh snakes can practice important fine motors skills. I've included several activities that my students can participate in that practice those fine motor skills while also supporting the curriculum.

When students improve their fine motor skills, they will have more success with writing.

All of the activities included will allow students to practice the very important pincer grip that will help them strengthen their fingers and practice pinching small objects with control.
