This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They come to me each year ready to learn and to make new friends. My students love hands-on activities, engaging centers and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things in order to grow both personally and academically.
My Project
If my project is fully funded, my students will be able to use hands on center activities throughout the school day as well as at home during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Students will have access to various resources that reinforce skills and enable higher level learning. Having traveling centers will also help to individualize the learning experience. Not only will the students be able to use these items during center time, they will also use them to help with writing, reading, learning phonemic awareness skills, math, and more. These materials will go back and forth between home and school if by chance we go remote at any given time. By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student engagement, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement during this difficult time.
