My Students

These students are in special education and all have an IEP. This means I provide them with extra support for 1-2 hours a day. These students have a difficult time enjoying school because of their disabilities and handling independent activities is a struggle, but they thrive on being independent because their classmates in general education are independent.

My Project

My students are all in person and will come to the resource room 1-3 times a day for reading, writing and math. Because they come for short amounts of time I use centers a lot. The bean bag chair will be placed in the word work center where they are working on word building. The Playdoh and play foam will be used in the tactile center where the students are building words or figuring out math equations. The dry erase sheets will be used for math centers so the work each day can easily be changed out depending on the lesson being taught!
