My Students
Donorschoose.org has helped our class gain a variety of center materials this year. Now we need a place to store the materials so that they are easy for the students to access.
I teach in an inner-city school with a free and reduced lunch rate of over 95%.
My Fab Firsts are an enthusiastic and motivated group of young learners. Unfortunately, they often do not have the supplies and resources that they need to be successful. By supporting our class, you would be helping to supply students with an organizational system that would make accessing our materials easier for the students.
My Project
Currently, when it is time for centers, students are crowded around a counter trying to get all of the materials they need. Imagine now a one-stop bin that you can carry back to your group with all the materials that you need for that activity! This shelf will allow me to have 12 centers ready for students to grab and go!
Workshop time allows students to practice literacy skills while I work with small groups in guided reading.
Right now, I am wasting small group time trying to direct the flow of traffic to the one open counter we have available. This shelf will allow me to spend more time addressing the needs of my students!
