My Fab Firsts are enthusiastic and excited group of learners. They come to school each day motivated and ready to learn. They are children that love to listen to and read stories. They are curious and busy. They love to "travel to new places" and "meet new friends" through books. Unfortunately, many of my students are still struggling with sight words. This struggle makes reading basic beginning reader stories difficult for them. Our school is in a developing neighborhood in the inner city that strives to meet the needs of all of our diverse learners. It is this drive and determination that has me searching out new and exciting ways for students to learn and review sight words.
